PLEASE HELP US HELP YOU!
The Gretna Volunteer Fire Department is supported by the Town of Gretna, The RM of Rhineland and local business Enbridge, which we serve. But, because of regulations and insurance reasons, the many expenses involved such as fuel, electric, insurances and equipment can, a lot of times, exceed the support we receive.
In accordance to law, basic equipment all require maintenance and periodic replacement. Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), Extrication Equipment, Hydraulic Spreaders, Thermal Imaging Cameras and of course the firetruck. Ours, as good a shape as it is in, is required to be replaced within a certain amount of years, regardless of it's excellent condition.
We are fortunate in that the Town of Gretna and the RM of Rhineland is very supportive of the volunteer department and assists in the purchase of the trucks but the $300,000 price tag for a replacement truck is still a large investment for such a small community. We still rely on you, the community, to help us cover the funds in order to maintain our local service.
Won't you please support your local volunteer fire department and donate now? Your donations are greatly appreciated and go directly to the provision of emergency fire protection for you and your family!
A SIMPLE DONATION OF $25, $50, $75 OR EVEN MORE CAN GO A LONG WAY TOWARDS MAINTAINING AND PROVIDING EMERGENCY FIRE PROTECTION FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
"I can think of no more stirring symbol of man's humanity to man than a fire engine."
